How far have we fallen? How degraded have we become? We have become the very thing we were taught to fight against. We love death more than life. Please stop celebrating the death of bin Laden. It only shows your hate. Mourn with those who have lost love ones, pray that our leaders will end this war, and send greater love to our Muslim friends. But do not cheer the death of another man.
Let The Love of Death Wash Over You

Our response as a people will lead to blow back… welcome to living in a land that spawns home grown terrorists.
We should be more respectful. But at the same time I can’t help but think, what if his death could have prevented millions more future deaths? It’s not over. There’s still a lot of people who want to harm America and other countries. But it’s a possible step in the right direction possibly. Who knows… we’ll probably never know what would have happened but there’s no going back now right?
Do terrorists justify their actions based upon the collective actions of American/European people or are they root cause for becoming terrorists? If we base our reactions based on what terrorists may or may not do than they have already won.

And the blow back begins.
Proverbs 24:17 “Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, & let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth.”
VERY VERY True…
Good point
I respectfully disagree Branden. Bin Laden was an unrepentant mass murderer, and there is no indication whatsoever that his continued existence would not have lead to many more innocent lives being killed….
Mark, I didn’t say he didn’t deserve death. I said that we should not be celebrating death. We must show those against whom we are aligned that life and liberty are supernal, are beautiful and are worth sacrificing everything for. We must not cause a greater divide than already exists between our world and theirs. The healing must start now.
And it is on us in America to start that healing as we were the victims on 9/11. Justice has been served. Now let us be the light unto the rest of the world. Let us not hide that light under a bushel of pride and prejudice. It is time to cleans the wound and begin the healing.
if we can’t celebrate his death can we celebrate living on the earth without him on it?
Andrew, we would do more good to mourn with those who mourn at this juncture.
i agree about mourning with those who mourn but I have a crazy feeling that those that lost loved ones are celebrating right now
What the middle east needs to see from the west is humility in the face of victory. No one likes a sore winner. We must be careful in our response. This is the time to evangelize liberty, not thump our chests about our ability to kill brown people. We must be humble or face blow back.
I agree Andrew…. I agree.
One small step for USA, one giant leap against terrorism
I’m not sure it was all that big of a leap.
We lost a lot more than one man in this man hunt.
Branden.. love you and respect you like crazy..and our opinions align most of the time. But I just flat out disagree with you on this one. that doesn’t make me cold-blooded…. HUMANITY should celebrate his death because Bin Laden was an enemy to humanity. Celebration isn’t only not to be frowned upon, but it should be absolutely encouraged… there is still much more work to be done, but this is a momentous victory
I do appreciate the respect Mark. Thank you.
Mark has a point… Maybe we just shouldn’t be so in your face about his death. Yes it’s a good thing but it shouldn’t make us not respect all the lives that were lost from military… or take for granted the cost of his death?
I have to say though, I’m loving a lot of the funny status’ that I’m reading… but not the “FU OSAMA” type ones.
Good sir, I am celebrating his capture. That he died during his apprehension is irrelevant as he would have never saw the light of day again.
